New
products : ReadSpeaker reads online forms and online
documents
The
ReadSpeaker speech-enabling solutions for online
content offers two new applications: Reading online
forms and online documents out loud.
ReadSpeaker
formReader offers interactive voice assistance while
filling out web forms. Both the fields that the user has
to fill and the text that the user has entered into
these fields are being read out loud. With interactive
voice assistance, the risk that people abandon a web
form will be reduced while customer satisfaction may be
increased. “formReader makes web forms more accessible,
which will result in more people filling out the form,
says Joop Heijenrath, Managing Partner at VoiceCorp, the
company behind Readspeaker formReader. “This will lead
to an increase in number of transactions through the
website, and at the same time in a reduction of the
costs, since less phone assistance is needed.”
ReadSpeaker
docReader is the reading function for online documents.
With docReader various types of online documents, such
as PDF and Word, can be read out loud. The user can
choose to have the text highlighted while it is read out
loud, to facilitate an even better understanding of the
text.

Customer
satisfaction
Recently we
have done a survey among our customers to measure the
customer satisfaction. The outcome was very positive.
The survey showed that all respondents (100%) chose the
ReadSpeaker listen function to provide a service to
people that have difficulties reading and to be
innovative. 25% of the respondents finds it important
to
provide the users of their website the possibility to
listen to the content while doing something else.
When
providing a service to people that have difficulties
reading, the respondents mostly think about dyslectic
users. But also illiterate and elderly and (to a lesser
extent) visually impaired and non native speakers are an
important target group.
All
respondents would recommend the ReadSpeaker solution to
people they know. They find the ReadSpeaker listen
function a good solution which enhances the
accessibility of the website and are satisfied with the
voices we offer. Also they are satisfied with the
support provided. The visitors of their website are
satisfied with the service they provide with the listen
function.
New Clients : ReadSpeaker speech-enables websites of
Amnesty International, Assemblee Nationale, Dyslexia
Foundation Of New Zealand and the government of Oman
In the past
quarters, ReadSpeaker has reached agreements to
implement our service on many international websites,
among which the websites of
Amnesty
International (see news section), the
French
Assemblee Nationale, the
Dyslexia Foundation of New Zealand and the portal to
the services of the
government of Oman.
These
companies chose to implement ReadSpeaker to enhance the
reader experience and increase the accessibility of
their web content for everyone. This new feature for the
website will allow those with reading
difficulties easier access to the web content such as
news updates.
